I’m starting my 6th decade of life today! ❤️‍🔥✨🙌🏽 I’ve always wanted to do a bright and kitschy photo shoot celebrating my love of red and green, the 80s, the B-52s, the holiday season, and most of all appreciating this one glorious earthly experience. With the help of my amigas, we made it happen! Two things inspired this - first, a greeting card I designed (I transferred my photo wish to an illustration) - and then I came across a video by @keikolynn and I knew it was time to bring this wish to reality. Thank you to @nadiavasquezz of @vasbeautyy for make-up, styling and decorating the wig and to @eboni__chanel of @ebonikey.photos for your talent, and both for your friendship and happy energy! And gracias to my family, for always being so supportive with all my crazy ideas and plans over the years. So much more to come! Here is a super relaxing (and additctive) project. Make use of your sticker stash to create collages, leave negative space. And then use your markers to add doodles and sketches between the stickers to make them come to life. You can also use text stickers, photos, or any that you have. Yes it is basically like junk journaling except incorporating a lot of doodles! It takes the pressure off feeling like you have to draw or paint anything. All you’re doing is laying down stickers and doodling around them. It makes the time go by so peacefully! It’s the same kind of vibe as coloring books or doing Zentangles. I like this method because it flows so easy and you don’t have to overthink anything! It all comes together in the end!
