So incredibly proud of my wife strength and determination 🩷 Copied from my wife’s instagram… This cancer journey of mine has not been straightforward. After what we thought was a successful double mastectomy & lymph node clearance, my chemo plan was in place. I was ready to start, get it done and put cancer behind me. However after a routine CT scan it showed some suspicious lesions. I then had a PET scan and unfortunately I got the devastating news that the cancer has metastasised to my bones, making it incurable. The chemo plan had to be adjusted & I had my first cycle today. I am also having regular bone infusions and injections to prevent further spread in the hope of giving me many more years. The fight continues. Chemo cycle 1 of 6 done!

My wife is an absolute warrior and will get through this but we have a bit of a journey ahead….. Shared from my wife’s Instagram: In February I found out some news about my health. Whilst in Iceland I found a lump in my breast. It was purely by noticing a change in the shape of my breast whilst looking in the mirror. I hadn’t done a regular lump check in a while. I got referred to the breast clinic very quickly and I had an ultrasound, mammogram and a biopsy. During that appointment the consultant told me what they believed it to be but my follow up appointment last week is when they confirmed the results. I have breast cancer. It taken me a while to process and get my head around what lies ahead. For now I am preparing for my MRI results which will determine my treatment plan. This process is definitely intense but I will do whatever it takes to fight this. All of this is scary of course but I’m staying positive. I have the love and support from those around me and that alone is the fuel that I need. I hope me sharing this encourages people to check for lumps or to get a health check. Your life could depend on it.

Lewis decided this career change after being inspired by Ricky’s work during the race truck makeover we carried out back in December 2023. Lewis is a part time professional motorcycle racer currently in the leading pack competing in the BSB superteens series. We have sponsored Lewis’ racing journey since 2022, the last three seasons, and love watching him at racing weekends. Thank you to everyone who has gifted us tools and other handy things for him! The new @sharkener_official blade sharpening tool. We were gifted these two to try out, I am of a generation of throw away and buy new as i see resharpening as time consuming but was quite surprised how quickly you can resharpen your worn out blades. Within 13mins we had sharpened 9 blades, so if you have a bundle to sharpen when set up i can see the money saving benefit to be had.
