Let’s be friends!!! āœŒšŸ¼ • I’m basically a crime junkie who also loves using power tools… We’re all about DIY tips and tricks, renovating on a budget, and all things death investigations over here! • In the real world (NOT Instagram), renovations take up valuable time and cost real money. Most of us can’t afford to complete entire home renovations in a short amount of time. And I wouldn’t have it any other way! Taking my time has allowed me to learn my design style, and master some diy skills, all of which I want to show you! • Follow along as we slowly work on our house, making it a home! I hope you love it here šŸ„°šŸ«¶šŸ¼

Proof that you don’t need a big home or a lot of money to have a beautiful bathroom! • I have always wanted a bathroom connected to my bedroom, so we made it happen (yes, there is a door to the hallway too, but it feels like a luxury to not have to cross the hall to get there). I love a textured shower tile, so I found it on a budget! I knew this room needed a checkered floor, so I did a peel and stick because that’s what I could afford. I’m obsessed with marble top vanities so I thrifted the base and the top separately to make it happen without the high cost. • I show busy women how to make their small home feel luxury on a budget, and I’d love to show you how too! • Comment SHOP and I’ll send you every detail of this bathroom! You can also watch my bathroom highlight to see how we made each part of this space come together! • https://liketk.it/4ZWtD #diybathroom #diyprojects #homeimprovement

Ever feel like designing your home is just too much? Too many choices, not enough space (my 1400 sqft house can relate), and that nagging feeling you’re doing it wrong—especially on a budget. I’ve been there. But after two years of turning my little house into a home, I’ve learned this: it doesn’t have to be perfect to be yours. Start with what you have, keep it simple, and fill your space with things you truly love. Don’t rush the process—it’s slow, but every step brings you closer to a home that feels right. If you’re ready to ditch the overwhelm and create a space you love, stick around. Whether it’s big DIYs or small budget hacks, I’ve got tips to help you make it happen. Comment SHOP and I’ll send you everything in my bedroom! #homeimprovement #diyhomeprojects #smallspaceliving #homerenovation https://liketk.it/4ZINM

Would you have guessed my ceilings in this room are only 7.5 ft tall? • My primary bedroom was a complete budget DIY from top to bottom and it ranged from totally easy (like faux limewash) to a little tricky (like the diy archway). But, I want all my busy women everywhere to know that they can learn to DIY on a budget too! I’m here to show you where you can start. So follow along to join this little corner of DIY (oh and disclaimer, we also talk a lot about death here too šŸ˜†). • As always, everything you see here is linked in my LTK, which you can find in the link in my profile, or comment SHOP and I’ll send the entire materials list right to you! https://liketk.it/4ZzsM #homeimprovement #diyinspiration #diyhome #primarybedroom

I hate designing. I never know where to begin, am overwhelmed by options, constantly worry it’s not good enough, and feel constrained because I’m on a budget and my house is small (1400 sqft). • But in the 2 years I’ve slowly been turning my little old house into a home, I have learned easy ways to lessen the stress on the design. It doesn’t have to be perfectly straight, need the right mixture of patterns, or have to have that perfectly ā€œlived inā€ look. You just need to keep it clean and simple with some things you love. And take your time! It comes together slowly, but you will be much happier (and have less junk). • I teach busy women how to make their house a home- from big builds, to simple budget hacks. If this is you, feel free to join this little community so you can do this too! #homeimprovement #diy #diyinspiration #homerenovation

Is it just me, or did you also think adding canned lighting was a difficult process? I remember my parents putting their giant, bulky cans in and it sure was a lot more work! • These can lights are from @lusalighting and they are definitely the way to go if you want the real thing, without the excessive work. They also come with a switch so you can choose how bright or dim you want the lights to be! • Comment SHOP and I’ll send you the lights, plus you can use code HALEY15 for a discount! ✨ https://liketk.it/4Zg0h #LUSAAmbassador #BeforeAndAfter #DIYRenovation #HomeLighting

Surprise! Baby GIRL coming May 2025!!! šŸ’• So, here’s how I told my sisters… On the last night of our trip, I casually left the test on the bathroom counter and said, ā€œYou guys HAVE to come see these two aunts in the bathroom—they’re HUGE!ā€ Naturally, they thought I meant ants. One sister started ranting about how bad her ant problem has been, while the other said, ā€œI’ve gotta see these ants!ā€ They walked in, looked around super confused, and then I pointed and said, ā€œSee? The two biggest aunts I’ve ever seen!ā€ šŸ˜‚ Their reactions were priceless. Feel free to steal this idea—it’s a good one! I’m all the emotions: happy, scared, excited, nervous, anxious, and totally in love already. And also VERY ready to be done with the first trimester! šŸ˜…

How many years will I have a half decorated tree? Who knows, but I secretly love it. šŸ˜‚ At least my @kingofchristmas tree is pretty! I chose this Scarlett Fir because it had a true deep green color. The ornaments are all from @kingofchristmas too, and in a few years, I’m sure we will really enjoy them! #kingofchristmas #christmas #toddlerlife #christmastreedecor

Do you ever look around your house and wish you could make it better, but you don’t feel like you have the time? I’m a Medicolegal Death Investigator (MDI) and toddler mom, so I felt like this all the time! • A full blown renovation is out of the budget and just impossible to do, so last year I started renovating my house just one room at a time. And I have slowly been figuring out the best way to DIY in between naps and on the weekends! I share all my hacks, even the smallest and simplest ones, to show you how you can do this too all while saving time and money! • If you feel like you can relate, follow along to learn more DIY tips and tricks (and don’t forget to tune in to Forensic Fridays in my stories!) • Comment SHOP to get the list of everything I used to make this transformation! https://liketk.it/4XL8Q #DIY #diyinspiration #rubnbuff #homeimprovement

DIY Closet Part 3!!! This week we added a shoe cabinet, flooring, and started making some drawers. We still have like 10 more to go, but drawer boxes are the easy part! I’ll be sure to share even more in detail so you can make this too! ✨ • We’re getting really close to the details, and I need some help… should I stain these or paint them the same color as the bathroom? I like the idea of tying the two spaces together, but painting wood is always a little painful… what do you think?
