My first time at South Coast Med Spa, and my first experience with Morpheus8! I never really took my skin care seriously: washing my makeup off at night, wearing sunscreen during the day, a simple facial once a year, that’s about it! There were no fancy lotions and potions, no daily regimens, no fillers, nada! So far.. 😉 So what is Morpheus 8?? Officially, Morpheus 8 is an advanced treatment that combines microneedling and radiofrequency —> “to remodel adipose (fat) tissue, tightening and smoothing the skin.” I’m in! 🙋🏽‍♀️ So Morpheus 8 treatment is effective for treating fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and overall skin laxity. Baking is good for mental health 🫶🏽 (See below and swipe for more ➡️) Baking engages all of my five senses, which science says can be therapeutic. *See all the colors, warm butter, gold cups of sugars, smell the vanilla extract and fresh walnuts, hear the eggs crack and mixer creaming, touch the warm dough (and yes I mos def lick my wooden spoon and fingers when done..🖐🏽) Baking provides an outlet for frustrations and can reduce stress hormones. Baking allows me to be mindful: be in the moment, focus on measurements and such which in turn tunes OUT the drama, negative thoughts, and more.. Baking most definitely boosts my mood, and often allows me to be creative. I had the pleasure of painting my beautiful friend @alyshadelvalle, in the same place where we met, so many years ago @olverastreetofficial. Alysha was the first reporter to ever interview me for TV, a million moons ago. Maybe she can chime in how many years ago that was. At the time, there weren't as many events, reporters, or artists representing our ancient traditions. Alysha made space for that on a major platform. I was so blessed to have been chosen for that segment. "Dia De Los Muertos" has always had a special place in my heart. It was an honor to be invited to shed light on the topic.
