Answering the number 1 question I get asked - how did the Nala stomps start?? No training involved. Nala started on her own doing this when she was under a year old. She always liked to go between my legs. It was her happy place or something. I’ve since learned that lots of retrievers do this! One day I started giving her some butt scratches and she started stomping her little feet. I think my laughter every time she started stomping was sort of a positive reinforcement for her or something. Because she just kept doing it! If you look in my videos, you’ll see that now I barely even touch her when we do the stomps. Sometimes she will walk through and just start stomping on her own but the song and dance definitely hypes her up. This #GivingTuesday, I wanted to start a fundraiser for a cause that’s near and dear to my heart. If you were to ask me my greatest fear, it would be my dog, Nala, getting cancer. (Disclaimer for our followers: Nala is healthy and does not have cancer 💛) The dog community on Instagram is so incredible and it makes me smile every day, but at the same time it seems like we have lost so many of our best friends to the dreaded C word. The Canine Cancer Alliance is a nonprofit that funds dog cancer research. I will match up to $2500 dollars for this fundraiser. Any little bit helps and can go a long way. Thank you all 🫶
