@lacountyfd Crew 9-1 & Sup 9 arriving on scene of the Placerita Fire. Crew 9-1 & Sup 9 were inserted to Division Z of the Fire. Division A & M were separate starts north of Z along the 14 Freeway. The three starts totaled 5 acres. ST1102A led by Battalion 2 was pre-deployed to FS150 to assist Antelope and Santa Clarita Valley companies with any major incidents during the heatwave.

Los Angeles County Fire Department Engine 71, Squad 71 & Malibu SAR were dispatched to a reported injury at the Escondido Falls. Engine 71 added QRV 71 to assist with the possible transportation of the patient who had a reported ankle injury. QRV 71 was unable to make it to the patient due to inaccessible parts of the trail. Engine 71 named the incident the “Trail Incident.” Station 71 personnel & members of @malibusar made it to the patient. Trail IC requested an air squad for a hoist operation. Copter 15 the day’s west county copter out of Barton was dispatched. Station 71 members & Malibu SAR moved the patient from under tree cover for the hoist. FFPM Duran lowered FFPM Manners to finish packaging the patient & to carry out the hoist operation.
