I must admit … I couldn’t have been happier to be outside of the United States of America this week. Honestly? A bit sad to return home. The good news is regardless of if this country gets better or worse, I was reminded of something powerful at the Eiffel Tower - that light cannot be hidden in darkness. No matter what happens, no one has the power to stoke it nor extinguish it. So my mandate in returning home and stepping back on American soil) with my feet a bit heavier than usual) is to keep being light. There’s no quit in my purpose. The crescendo is not political power but personal transformation. And while I can only hope and pray our country changes, I refuse to wait for the darkness to subside on its own. “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Today, I turn 41 years old. As I dive deeper into “midlife” where the number of years ahead of me may be fewer than the number of years behind me, I can’t help but reflect on this incredible life I’ve been given. A life filled with people that have both come and gone With skies that have delivered both warm sunshine and cold rain With blessings enabling me to both explore the world and find refuge at home With moments that have produced both uncontainable joy and unbearable pain With times I have been both moved to compassion and given way to apathy With feelings both of utter fragility and of impenetrable resilience And through it all, these words have never been more potent, more true, more real, and more obvious to me: “All my life you have been faithful All my life you have been so so good With every breath that I am able I will sing of the goodness of God”

One month ago I received a much appreciated challenge and a much needed pep talk. Leaving NY today after a very successful meeting in which our team rose to the challenge and over delivered has me incredibly grateful. Leadership isn’t for the faint of heart. Pressure creates diamonds but diamonds must be cut before they can shine. Sun and sea. Two of life’s greatest gifts. Ever since moving from California, I’ve been privileged to see many coastlines. 😍 What a blessing to get a ticket for my 3rd tennis major and enjoy the #FrenchOpen @rolandgarros and to cheer on @cocogauff! It’s been a dream to witness the world’s greatest slide across the epic clay courts. Oh and a quick stop to Paris never hurt anyone.
