At the end of 2020 I walked away from a multi-million dollar company that I co-founded. My business partner and I had reached a point where I just couldn’t continue to sustain the dynamic anymore. Deep down I had a desire to create my own vision, my own legacy, and I didn’t want to compromise it anymore. Walking away and dissolving the company I had poured my blood sweat and tears into for over 5 years was not only devastating it was terrifying. All the stories and judgement came flooding in “you’re lucky he helped you to come up” Nope, anyone who really knows me knows that’s not the story. And this new beginning gave me the opportunity to prove it was always me all along who drove the results. And this has been my greatest challenge to step into the true spiritual warrior I am to fully own my power once and for all. I had the talent, the drive, the passion, and unwavering commitment…that was the sauce. This decision was energizing at first, but then as I started to build @careerevolved from the ground up from scratch I really started to hit many low points psychologically and emotionally. Rebuilding a company is not easy not to mention during Co-Vid when there is so much fear and uncertainty. This is where I had to go through so many ego deaths and start to get back down in the mud and just keep showing up committed with absolute belief and faith. Those who choose to believe when others cannot see it are a special breed. They are the leaders who deal us all the hope we desperately need. Those who can turn their greatest pain and setbacks into their fuel and purpose are unstoppable. We are always going through a storm, coming out of one or preparing for the next one. The storm is where your get to see who you really are and where true character is built. The storm can either sink you or transform you. It’s always a decision. You are either committed or your not. You either believe you can or you won’t. You are either choosing your dream or choosing fear. Everything is a choice. When I chose to build @careerevolved during Covid, most around me chose to assume that it would be hard and break me… The truth is, there were moments where all the outside energy and doubt did bring me to my knees in total exhaustion and frustration. Then, I would remember I always have a choice, to keep going and believe in myself and my vision. Now I look back and realize it was that continued choice to believe and commit to the vision is what guaranteed my success. Without that choice to believe I would not have kept showing up. The power of our beliefs drives all of our decisions and behavior, which ultimately create our future. The committed ALWAYS find a way. The uncommitted choose fear, scarcity, and their self limiting beliefs. The moment we give up our power of choice to something outside of us, we have given up our ability to create our own life.
