Meet Dr. Hao Li @HaoLi81, Nesa's Chief Scientific Advisor. Dr. Li is a world renowned AI researcher and computer scientist, behind major innovations in the Computer Vision space. Dr. Li's research in depth sensor facial animation led to the creation of Animoji on Apple’s iPhone X, and Dr. Li has contributed to some of the most advanced generative AI VFX and Visual Dubbing used by Netflix, Miramax, and Amazon Studios. Dr. Li is a tenured Professor of Computer Vision at MBZUAI, serves as Cofounder and CEO of Computer Vision start-up, Pinscreen, and was formerly a Professor in CS at the University of Southern California, where one of his students was Dr. Harry Yang, Cofounder of Nesa. Dr. Li worked on the 3D facial tracking for animating the digital Paul Walker in Furious 7, he is the original co-author of the Kinect-based facial performance capture software, Faceshift, acquired by Apple, and together with Oculus and Facebook, Dr. Li prototyped the world’s first facial performance sensing virtual reality HMD to enable social interactions in cyberspace. Dr. Li was named one of the top 35 innovators under 35 by MIT Technology Review, he is ranked #1 in the world by Microsoft Academic in Digital Computer Vision Graphics, and he is a World Technology Award Fellow, Google Faculty Research Award Winner, ACM SIGGRAPH Best in Show Award Winner, Okawa Foundation Research Grant Winner, and was named C-Suite Quarterly NextGen 10 Innovator under 40. Dr. Li was a visiting researcher and postdoctural researcher at Stanford, Princeton, and Columbia University, was a Distinguished Fellow at UC Berkeley, and he has been featured in dozens of live TV appearances to discuss the subjects of AI and deep learning.

Nesa Nation, in celebration of Nesa surpassing 50 million AI inference requests in the past month - the most in DeAI - we are happy to announce we are opening up a new reward type. Here’s how AI activity moving forward and rewards to date will work. Inference is already designed to be special on Nesa. Every new company and project that onboards to Nesa generating on-chain AI inference means near instantaneous rewards sent through the network - to the miners, validators, model contributors, and AI providers that make each request possible.  Now Nesa is including its early supporters and point holders on discretionary batches of AI inference activity, which means a new community rewards stream.  During Nesa Testnet, rewards have been accumulating as a result of significant levels of AI inference executed on the Nesa network. A large portion of these rewards will soon be distributed to the projects that are building on Nesa and to the Stakers of these projects.  In the next week we will announce this new, first-of-it’s-kind ecosystem born on top of Nesa infrastructure, called DAIs.
