This was one of those late night painting sessions where I realized last minute that I had made no content on this particular piece. You would think I would get used to content creation especially when my sales almost exclusively depend on it! But it’s a constant battle to not completely forget myself in the work. After my Mom passed, I fell back into painting and it caught me during an emotional free-fall. It was the safety net I didn’t know I needed or had. But as I’ve continued, I’ve found my wings and my voice and I’m not afraid of falling anymore. This work is from that first year without her. It’s not my best but it’s one of my favorites.
