For this wedding we began with a royal blue base, a nod to the grooms’s alma mater and The color of trust, honor, purification and protect. The lavender orchids are equal parts intuition and imagination, and they gave the bride a sense of whimsy. VOGUE Photo Booth. The magazine photo booth has been around for quite some time, and the minute that the mother of thebride, Shanda, saw it on Instagram she knew she wanted it. I spent months telling her now, explaining that it had been done and seen too many times before, and I truly believe that we could do something different and better… Which we did inside of the reception! All the while, I knew that Edgar and I We’re going to surprise her with a custom Photo Booth at the entry of the space. She was blown away! And it was one of the big hits of the event. Wedding ceremony dreams come true! Set upon the Garden Lawn at Napa’s famed Stanly Ranch, Mikayla and Brandon’s wedding was at once whimsical and romantic while also being a bold display of over the top opulence. With a series of trees, tower and get over 16 feet tall, dripping in orchids and crystals, wrapped in pristine, white hydrangea and roses, this wedding ceremony transformed the space into an ethereal, heavenly garden. With a thick carpet of bright white rose, petals and aisles, packed with flowers, guests took their seats on clear acrylic goes chairs as they waited for Mikayla to arrive. The ceremony opened with strolling twin violins performing “Oceans” as the wedding party walked down the aisle. Mikayla entered on the arm of her father, as an opera singer performed Ave Maria – the same song that was performed at her parents wedding so many years ago. I wanted guests to be overwhelmed with emotions when they saw the trees, the florals, the crystals and all of the chairs. But I also wanted them to really connect to the deeply personal vows that Mikayla and Brandon shared during their ceremony, which was performed by her family’s pastor. The ceremony was designed and produced to absolute perfection, and transported guests into a world of romance and luxury - truly a never before, never again moment for this wonderful couple. Welcome to Capri! This post-wedding Sunday brunch was inspired by the couple’s love of all things Italy and the Amalfi Coast. We set oversized, natural wood banquet tables between the olive trees and the farm boxes at Stanly Ranch. Guests were met by a darling blue bicycle filled with flowers, and the tables were topped with baby kumquat trees, yellow florals, and lemons. Custom blue and white chargers, cornflower blue napkins, and marigold wild flowers topped the table. At the end of the table we crafted an oversized Venetian gondola willed with flowers as a photo opp, with a wooden bar offering mimosas, Bloody Mary cocktails, and crafted coffees. A few steps beyond guests were able to visit fluffy chickens, and Mikayla and Brandon were able to fasten their wine tag - forever commemorating their wedding at The Ranch.
