Monthly scale update #GOLD Latter stages of parabolic moves are the areas where quick and large profits are made. Not for new comers. Those that have been holding from the beginning of the breakout. Rather than being unnerved about giving back profits in the case of a reversal, my suggestion is to use a trailing stop-loss. As the price becomes more parabolic Average True Range increases and the trailing stop trails with "more room". For those who don't want to give more room, either reduce the ATR period or the multiple. Here is a website that I coded ATR trailing to MetaStock and can be valuable in understanding how it functions in an uptrend or downtrend. https://t.co/xiqifjb0HU

Information we have so far: 5,510 is a resistance. Price is below its 200-day average, so surprises are on the downside. I'm trying to understand: do we form a higher low After the April sell-off. Do buyers step in here or wait for a re-test of April lows? what kind of pattern would form between 4,800 and 5,510? A bottom reversal or a bearish continuation. #SPX

Do you know what to expect at certain levels. The type of price action that would confirm what you are looking for? Best way to educate yourself on IF & THEN conditions, is to study past price action. Different charts. Different time frames. #GOLD Chart patterns and price action are repetitive.

An important week for those markets that reached their resistance levels. #CRUDEOIL is one of them after breaking down the strong horizontal support that turned into resistance. #ENERGY https://t.co/5JL436cRpg

Type 1 breakouts do not pullback to the pattern boundary. It shows that they are really strong breakouts. Which usually extends beyond price targets. When you realize you are riding a Type 1 breakout, try to hold on to the existing positions past the price objectives. https://t.co/clZBKkSFDC

This was a recent #breakout #alert. Leap of faith... First identify a clean consolidation with several times tested pattern boundaries. Wait for the breakout signal. Act. Manage it with first a protective stop then a trailing stop and hope for the best. https://t.co/zvU5ZlU7PR
